The 2022 calendar year came to an end with a North Harrison athlete making a commitment to continue her academic and athletic career at the next level.

Senior Audrey Tucker signed her National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Kaskaskia College on Dec. 28. Kaskaskia is a public community college in Centralia, Ill.

Tucker, daughter of Brad and Lacy Tucker of Georgetown, has played both soccer and basketball during her time at North Harrison.

Aside from Kaskaskia, 11 other colleges and universities have reached out in hopes of recruiting her. After visiting Kaskaskia in November, she noted it was the environment and students attending there that swayed her decision.

“I made my visit in November, and it was an awesome visit,” Tucker said. “I loved the environment and people at Kaskaskia.”

The Blue Angels had a solid 2022 season, finishing with a 10-5 record before falling to Heartland Community College in the Region 24 championship 6-0.
