Homemaker happenings
The Mauckport Extension Homemakers met Jan. 17 at Bethel Parish House.
Blessing was said before the noon meal, and the meeting was called to order by club president Barbara Donahue.
After the pledge to flag and club creed were recited, the thought of the month was read: “If you can’t do great things, you can do small things in a great way.”
Iris Yeager gave devotions titled “Whatever brings you happiness.”
Phyllis Faith gave the secretary’s report, and nine members and two visitors responded to roll call with a “New Year’s resolution I should make.”
Carolyn Beanblossom gave the treasurer’s report as well as a health-and-safety lesson about extended weather forecasts.
Donahue gave a lesson about preparing a safety bag for emergencies.
The next meeting will be Feb. 21 at the Bethel Parish House.
