Carl Albin

Carl (Tub) Albin, 90, of Corydon, Ind., died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at Golden Guardians Elder Care in Corydon.

He was born Jan. 6, 1933, in New Middletown, Ind., to the late William Clarence and Mary Edna Biddle Albin.

He was a retired truck driver, was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in New Middletown, was a U.S. Air Force veteran and loved his cars and trucks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise Anderson Albin; and his brothers, Vallis, William Jr., Burrell and Ralph Albin.

Survivors include his son, Dennis E. Albin (Jeanie) of Corydon; his daughter, Paula Jane Newton (Jim) of Mauckport Ind.; his grandchildren, Jeff Albin (Tammy), Jim Albin (Kristina) and Victoria Lee; and his great-grandchildren, Brandon Albin (Lauren), Meghan Albin, Jenna Albin, Jake Albin and Blake Albin.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. The Rev. Steve McAfee will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Windell, Rick Albin, Brandon Albin, Shawn Allen, Jim Newton and Randy Schaffer.
