Carla J. Taliaferro

Carla Jo Taliaferro, 70, Georgetown, Ind., died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, in Louisville, Ky.

She was born March 31, 1952, to Ira J. Stouder and Wanda Lansford Stouder Cantrell.

She loved working at the Georgetown Drive-in, where she worked for 10 years. Prior to the drive-in, she worked in the cafeteria at Floyd Central and Hazelwood schools. She loved flowers, and tulips were her favorite.

Carla is survived by her husband, Vernon Taliaferro of Georgetown; one son, Nicholas Taliaferro of Georgetown; and four sisters, Glenda Stouder of Georgia, Paulette Faubion of Texas and Dava Rogers and Roberta Fancil, both of Georgia.

She is preceded in death by her father.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.

Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
