Johny Carwile

Mr. Johny (Rusty) Carwile, age 66, of English, Ind., formerly of Louisville, Ky., ended his earthly adventure on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022.

Rusty was born in Oldham County, Ky., on Sept. 17, 1956, to the late James Carwile and Eleanor Nutgrass Chute.

He retired from Schnell Contractors after 30-plus years of service in masonary restoration. He loved to ride his motorcycles all over; he even took a couple of trips to Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach, Fla. Rusty enjoyed fishing, and he liked his hats and beautiful hair he was graced with (Willie Nelson didn’t have a thing on him). He loved his late wife, Shelia, of 48 years, and he will certainly be missed by his two daughters and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia M. Carwile; parents James Carwile and Eleanor Chute; sister, Mary Wakeland; and sister Chrissy Lynn Diehl.

He leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters, Heather Jones (Toni) and Crystie Carwile (Chris); grandchildren, Stephen Boone, Chelsae Boone, Jordan Nahm, Dalton Nahm and Matthew Nahm; great-grandchildren, Cole Boone, Magnolia Mae Boone, Penelope Boone, Elijah Paige and Autumn Lanham; sister, Donna Searcy; two brothers, Paul Diehl and James Butch Carwile; and cousin, Jerry Carwile, (Kathy), along with a host other dear family and friends.

Friends and family can pay their respects on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home, Preston Highway at Brooks Road in Louisville, Ky. Cremation will follow.
