This is a list of places where people can receive temporary assistance such as a free meal. To list a site or make a change, call 812-738-2211.

Breaking Bread food pantry open Tuesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 2501 St. Mary’s Drive in Lanesville. For more information, call 812-952-2853.

Corydon United Methodist Church, 214 N. Elm St., food pantry open Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m.; use the rear entrance along Mulberry Street. For more information, call 812-738-4366.

Harrison County Community Services Inc., in partnership with Corydon Presbyterian Church, offers a free meal each Monday at 5 p.m. at the church located at 568 Hwy 62 West. This meal is prepared and served by various volunteer groups from the community. Also, HCCS has a food pantry open to public, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at its facility, located at 101 Highway 62 W, Corydon. St. Michael Catholic Church, 11400 Farmers Lane NE in Bradford, food pantry (Dare to Care partner) open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 812-364-6614.

The Salvation Army, 101 W. Highway 62, Corydon, monthly food vouchers, clothing assistance, crisis assistance, other services and volunteer opportunities available. Open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Salvation Army also offers emergency food distribution. For more information, call 812-738-8118.

Victory Baptist Church, 8470 S.R. 135, New Salisbury, food bank (Dare to Care partner), third Friday, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 812-347-2101.
