Foster kids don’t always have good ‘parents,’ need all the help they can get

This comment concerns the 71% of people who in your poll last week thought foster care children should not receive financial assistance when they turn 18.

I’ve been involved with several boys who were not treated properly while in several foster homes in Floyd County. Two of them are still in Indiana prisons.

Foster kids need all the help they can get because it seems foster parents are not always good parents.

It also reminds me of the pittance amount the state of Indiana gives a prisoner when they are released to live on after having been incarcerated for months or years and often have no money.
