•I want to thank First Capital Christian Church for their wonderful Thanksgiving dinner meal that they fixed for the community. The meal was very delicious, and I want to thank each one that helped prepare it, and God bless each and everyone of them. Thank you.

•Every day on TV and all around me out here, “White people did this and white people did that. I’m a descendant of slaves.” Well, you know what? I’m a descendant of Civil War heroes that died and gave their lives to free the black people, so, you know, you need to think about that …

•I just want to make a comment on the election grid that was in the paper this past week. Ugh. I really feel sorry for people that have trouble reading. I mean, I can see really good, and it was just a little bit better than nothing, especially the school board races. I couldn’t even read … well, I could read the numbers but I couldn’t even read who the candidates were.

•I was in a local specialty shop the other day, getting some work done that I could not do but they specialized in. And I heard one of your mechanics bullying an old woman. Now, let me tell you something, I am a mechanic. I know this woman, and I know she’s not stupid, but you treated her like a (darn) idiot. The stuff that you pulled out to try to feed her that was coming out of her car, now you know just as well as I do that that stuff does not come out. I happen to know that she takes good care of that car. I, for one, know that the crap you fed her was not the truth and you know it as well as I do. And I don’t think much a man that told her that because I don’t think he’s a mechanic; I think he’s a con man …

•I’m calling to find out why the public notices in the Classified ads are no longer available online on The Corydon Democrat website, and also ‘d like to find out what happened to the link to the Clarion News. And if that’s down, when will that be put back up so we can access the Clarion News online as well?
