Results from peach pie contest
Below are the results from the peach pie contest and auction that took place at this year’s county fair:
The first-place pie was baked by Elizabeth Mc-Kim. The winning bid, $400, was made by Owen Trucking. Sponsor for first place was the Depauw Extension Homemakers.
Isabelle Abner baked the second-place pie. The winning bid, $175, was made by Owen Trucking. Marcia Dodge sponsored second place.
The third-place pie was baked by Amanda Arnold. The Harrison County Republican Party had the winning $150 bid. Sponsor for third place was Ardella Dodge.
In all, there were 25 pies entered. The auction netted $2,500 for the Harrison County Homemakers Association.
