Donald G. Logsdon
Donald G. Logsdon, 76, Laconia, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, at Robley Rex V.A. Medical Center in Louisville, Ky.
He was born March 24, 1946, in Charlestown, Ind., the son of Carl and Mary Whitman Logsdon.
He was a retired maintenance supervisor at the YMCA in Louisville and at Caesars Indiana. Donald was a Marine Corps veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a member of VFW 1832 in Clarksville, Ind. He was a musician and played guitar in bands in his early years and continued to play and sing throughout his life. He was a loving family man and cherished his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sondra Kaye Eisermann Logsdon; eight brothers and sisters; and son-in-law, Greg Soots.
He is survived by two sons, Ken Logsdon (Nicole) and Jason Logsdon (Ellen), all of Elizabeth, Ind., and Jennifer Soots of Laconia; brother, Paul Logsdon (Marylin) of Clarksville; grandchildren, 2nd Lt. Joseph Logsdon, USMC, Kaylee Logsdon, Nicholas Soots (Tara), Dylan Soots (Bella), Jackson Logsdon and Elliott Logsdon (Sydney); and great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kenslee and Beau Soots and Sloane Logsdon.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Ind. Pastor Richard Goodwin will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m.
