Chariot Run Golf Club near Elizabeth hosted the inaugural Folds of Honor golf scramble Nov. 7.

Folds of Honor provides scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military veterans. The national organization has provided more than 44,000 educational scholarships since 2007.

The tournament at Chariot Run welcomed 40 participants split into teams of four, raising more than $5,000 for Folds of Honor.

Attendees are looking forward to next year’s event set for Sept. 11 and hope to expand the annual tournament with the goal of providing more scholarships for children of the fallen.

Tournament sponsor was Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and companies who helped make the event successful included Titleist, Callaway and the Corydon Taco Bell. VICI Properties and the course’s new management company, CDN Golf Management, donated the golf course use for the tournament.
