Weed Wrangle planned at Hayswood Nature Reserve Weed Wrangle planned at Hayswood Nature Reserve

Hayswood Nature Reserve will be the site of a weed wrangle on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Everyone is invited to join the Harrison County Native Habitat Alliance for a morning of clearing invasive shrubs from the Indian Creek Trail. Participants can also learn plant identification, how to support pollinators and help restore native habitat.

All ages welcome.

Participants are asked to bring their own gloves, water, snacks and tools (pruning clippers, pruning hand-saws, etc.) and should wear appropriate clothing (long sleeves and sturdy pants and shoes).

The group will meet near the Indian Creek Trailhead (the lower parking lot at Hayswood).

The Harrison County Native Habitat Alliance is a volunteer group organized to conserve the habitats of Harrison County by educating the community about the impacts of invasive species. HCNHA works in partnership with the Indiana Invasives Initiative, Southern Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management and The Nature Conservancy.
