State Board of Accounts audit findings for Harrison County troubling

Recently, I learned of an issue that has me very concerned for our county.

For the last three years, the State Board of Accounts identified serious issues in the Harrison County Audit Report. These failed audit reports point out the lack of records keeping, failure to provide correct financial reports, failure to follow state-required guidelines and so much more. How have we not heard about this?

I don’t understand how this negligence can continue for three years without any recourse. Are our local government officials not required to follow state guidelines?

Below are the past three years:

As a tax-paying citizen in Harrison County, I expect better from our county officials.
