Harrison County Public Library offers a variety of programs intended to help children learn about themselves and the world around them. Visit the library’s website, www.hcpl.lib.in.us, for information, virtual content and resources.

The library will be closed Monday, Oct. 10, for staff training.

Weekly Take & Make Crafts — Crafts available all week.

Mother Goose — Wednesdays, Oct. 5 and 19, and Monday, Oct. 24, at 10:30 a.m. for newborns to age 2. Join Ms. Savannah for rhymes, stories, songs and movement.

Toddler Time — Thursdays, Oct. 6, 13 and 20, at 10 and 11 a.m. for ages 2 and 3 and their families. Join Ms. Ann for stories, rhymes and early literacy fun.

Move & Groove Storytime — Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. Join Ms. Eden for movement, stories, music and a craft. Designed for pre-kindergarten and older and their families. The theme will be Friendly Monsters.

Kids in the Kitchen — Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. for ages 4 and older. Make a creepy dirt pudding. Pre-registration is required.

Nature Club — Thursday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. for school-age children and their families. View a variety of live spiders at the library.

Ella Enchanted Movie — Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Kick of the SoIN Big Read at the library in the Children’s Activity Room.

Fantastic Friday — Oct. 21 from 2 to 4 p.m., drop in for spooky snacks, crafts and activities. All ages welcome.

Harry Potter Night — Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 6 to 7 p.m. Meet the students and professors of Hogwarts while getting sorted, make potions and collect candy. All ages welcome.

Lego Club — Fridays, Oct. 7, 14 and 28, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. for all ages. Parents will monitor their own children as they play.

Teen Volunteers — Tuesdays, Oct. 4 and 11, from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.; prep for a Harry Potter program. Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., help with Harry Potter Night. Register to participate.
