On Monday evening, the Indiana High School Athletic Association announced sectional pairings for boys’ tennis as part of the 56th annual State Championship Pairings Show on the IHSAA Champions Network, presented by Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.

Starting today (Wednesday), the six area teams will be divided between two sectional sites in Floyd County. Half of those teams will head to Floyd Central, which will open with North Harrison facing Eastern (Pekin) at 5 p.m. Crawford County drew the bye in the five-team field and will face the winner of the Cougars and Musketeers in the semifinals tomorrow at 5 p.m. The host Highlanders, who have won 35 consecutive sectional titles, will face Salem in the other semifinal, also at 5 tomorrow.

The other half of the area teams will head to New Albany, which opens play today with a matchup between Lanesville and Christian Academy of Indiana. South Central drew the bye, allowing them to wait for the winner of the Eagles and Warriors in the semifinals. Corydon Central gets a tough task to open post-season play by confronting the host Bulldogs, who have won 18 straight sectional crowns, in the first of two semifinals.

Times for sectional matches at the New Albany site were not available for press time yesterday (Tuesday).
