Head out to Crawford County Community Park on Saturday for the 2022 Music Fest, a fundraiser for the Southern Indiana Veterans Living & Rehabilitation Facility.

Located at Carefree, the SIVLRF provides transitional housing to veterans, who live in a growing tiny home community behind the main house. Veterans also receive assistance with accessing needs such as health care, job training and counseling.

Music Fest is an event intended to celebrate accomplishments thus far and to raise funds to ensure the organization continues to grow.

There is no admission charge.

Doors will open at noon with the music starting at 1. The featured performer will be Crimson Dust, which is composed of former Crawford County High School students who love to play music together. Members are Sam Crecelius, Adam Breeden, Joe LaHue and Reggie Brewer.

Also taking the stage will be the Crecelius Family Band, The Linda Smith Band and Big Woody.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day. Crawford County Sheriff Jeff Howell’s pulled pork will be the entree, and there will be homemade desserts from the English VFW Auxiliary.

A variety of items will be up for bid in the silent auction, including passes to area attractions, restaurant gift cards and gift items. The silent auction will close at 6 p.m., when the festival ends.
