Norman L. Heintz
Norman Lee Roy Heintz, age 92, of Palmyra, Ind., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Harrison Springs in Corydon, Ind., on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
Norman was born on Sept. 3, 1929, to William and Cora Haub Heintz. On Nov. 4, 1950, he married Frances Yvonne (Peachie) Martin.
Norman was a retired farmer and road construction worker. He also drove a school bus for Morgan Township for 35-plus years. He enjoyed his family, playing cards, watching sports on television, butchering and making his famous homemade sausage that the community loved. Norman was a member of Central Barren United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nora Compton and Melba Heintz; and three brothers, William Jr., Calvin and Marvin Heintz.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, “Peachie Heintz”; two daughters, Vicki Jacobi (Wayne) and Roxanne Uhl (Bill); three grandchildren, Jennifer Naessens (Jamie), Laura Pfaffenberger (Philip) and Jason Uhl (Emily); and six great-grandchildren, Zach and Brody Naessens, Ava and Ali Pfaffenberger and Jacob and Gracie Uhl.
The funeral service will be held at Love Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will follow at Central Barren Cemetery, New Salisbury, Ind.
