•I can’t believe it cost over $75 to fill a car up that still had a quarter of a tank of gas left. It’s just outrageous …

•I can’t believe how bad the approach to bridges are on the highways and the potholes and stuff that’s busting out tires …

• It’s pretty sad that North Harrison High School (did) not lower their flag to half (staff) in honor of those innocent children and teachers in Uvalde, Texas. I even called and asked why they (hadn’t) lower it. …

• I tell you one thing, that ol’ Joe Biden is the worst president we’ve ever had. My gosh, he’s got this world in a shape I never ever in my life thought I’d see. It’s just horrible.

• Just four days after an 18-year-old fatally shot 19 elementary students and two teachers in Uvelde, Texas, Indian Creek Shooting Center held its Southern Indiana high school trap championships with students from Borden, Crawford County, Eastern (Pekin), Henryville, North Harrison and Silver Creek High Schools participating. I was hoping that the local gun enthusiast would have the decency to at least postpone the event. …

• Like everyone else, I am shocked by the price of gasoline. It’s important to note that Exxon Mobile last month announced its first-quarter profits of $8.8 billion, more than triple the level of a year ago. It also announced a $30 billion share re-purchase plan, far more than the $21 or $24 billion it expected to spend on all capital investments, including searching for new oil. Also, Shell, which is Europe’s largest … company reported its largest quarterly profit ever at $9.1 billion. They said they would use the (windfall) to purchase back stock, increasing the value of the stock. …

• First Friday (Concert at Bicentennial Park in downtown Corydon) was absolutely amazing. Everyone loved it. Only one suggestion I have: please employ a few port-a-potties for people. Looking forward to more First Fridays.

• I’m going to say this real slow for the Democrats. The AR15 is not a weapon of war. The AR15 has never been issued to anybody in the military.

• I have been sitting here talking to quite a few of my friends, and we were just so shocked about how many abortions have been performed in the United States. Sixty-three million abortions have been aborted and committed, and that is such an abomination to our Father God, to God Jehovah, and our Lord Jesus Christ. He will not stand still for that much longer. And also, my friends, and I can’t understand why Christians can think it is OK for the homosexuals. It is not. It’s in the Bible, in book of Acts. It is not OK. It is not, not, not OK and neither is abortion, and we feel like the Lord is coming soon. …

• I’m 61 years old, and I’ve been a … Democrat all my life and always voted Democrat. But I tell you what, this is the highest I’ve ever paid for gasoline in my life. It went from $4.49 (last) week up to $4.99, so you might as well say $5. And I’m sure it’s probably going to go higher. So, why would we ever want to vote for another Democrat because it happens every time? We are sending billions of dollars to other counties. And at least when Obama was in there, gas got a little high, but there’s reasoning for it. They’re saying, “Oh, it’s that war in Ukraine.”… They are just making excuses. And then, they are trying to turn everybody’s attention to guns. I don’t know what Biden is trying to do or his administration. There’s people out here that are paying to fill their cars up so they can go to work so they can hold their jobs, but that’s about all they are getting done. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. Something needs to be done here in the United States. I will never vote Democrat again …

• I see the (WHAS) Crusade (for Children) is coming up (June 4 and 5). Unfortunately, I will not be donating because I have to use all my money for gas and groceries and everything else that has gone up. So, sorry kids; I have to take care of my own first.

• This skateboard park they are building in Corydon is a waste of my tax money. You can use that money for better things like helping a homeless person or building a home for a veteran. I don’t see that many kids in Corydon skateboarding anywhere, so why do we need to spend millions of dollars …
