Roberta Hamm, 81, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Ramsey, Ind., died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1941, in Hardinsburg, Ind., to the late Omel and Cora Kelly Cooper Deich. She and her husband, Ernest, were married on Sept. 5, 1964, and were later blessed with two children, Gregory and Shelia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three sisters, Rebecca Cooper, Wanda Pavey (Tindall) and Betty Ann Cooper Huber.
She worked for over 20 years at Rasmussen Florist in New Albany, Ind., and retired from Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was active in church services and ministries throughout her life, especially in the southern Indiana area.
She is survived by a son, Gregory Alan Hamm (Carrie) of Stillwater, Minn.; a daughter, Shelia Wynette Colyer (Dale) of Louisville; six grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; four sisters, Joleen Richardson of Corydon, Ind., Carolyn Howard of French Lick, Ind., Marilyn Helms (Eugene) of Bloomfield, Ind., and Esther Beatty (Henry) Beatty of West Baden, Ind.; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, church family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road in Louisville.
Burial will follow at Woods Chapel Cemetery in Ramsey.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
