A weed wrangle at Harrison-Crawford State Forest is scheduled for Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The group will meet at the Blue River Chapel parking lot, 7075 State Road 62, Corydon.

All ages are welcome to join the Harrison County Native Habitat Alliance for a morning of pulling garlic mustard and purple wintercreeper in the state forest. Also, learn plant identification, how to support pollinators and help restore native habitat.

Volunteers should wear appropriate clothing — long sleeves and sturdy pants and shoes — and are asked to bring their own gloves, water and snacks.

The Harrison County Native Habitat Alliance is a volunteer group organized to conserve the habitats of Harrison County by educating the community about the impacts of invasive species. The HCNHA works in partnership with the Indiana Invasives Initiative, State of Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management and The Nature Conservancy.
