As the high school hoops season in Indiana is on its last legs, the Mid-Southern Conference has released its all-conference honors.
Harrison County has garnered significant representation in the conference awards, led by Corydon Central’s Tyler Fessel and North Harrison’s Logan McIntire being named to the All-MSC Team.
McIntire, a 6-foot-4 senior wing, was a dominant force for the Cougars, leading the way with 21.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 51 made three-pointers and a 57% field-goal percentage. His production led the way for the Class 3A No. 13 Cougars as they won their second-straight MSC title and won their first sectional title since 1996.
Fessel, a 6-foot-1 combo guard, led the way for a Panthers’ team that posted their first winning season since the 2014-15 campaign by finishing 14-9 (5-3 MSC). The junior led the Panthers with 12.5 points and ranked third with 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
Along with McIntire and Fessel, the Cougars and Panthers had a combined five players named All-MSC Honorable Mentions. The Cougars had a trio of players earn that distinction in senior center Ethan Oakley, junior guard Kaleb Kellems and junior forward Sawyer Wetzel. For the Panthers, junior wing Anthony Martin and junior center Austin Vaughn earned similar honors.
Rounding out the All-MSC Team were Brysen Montgomery (Austin), Jack Benter (Brownstown Central), Carter Waskom (Brownstown Central), Cade Jones (Eastern Pekin), Jacob Cherry (Eastern Pekin), Hayden Cutter (Scottsburg), Kody Clancy (Scottsburg) and Branden Northern (Silver Creek).
The remaining All-MSC Honorable Mentions include Jack Miller (Scottsburg) and Zac Stricker (Silver Creek).
