Boys’ hoops sectional pairings announced
The Indiana High School Athletic Association announced its pairings for this year’s boys’ basketball state tournament as part of the 112th annual state tournament pairings show sponsored by Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.
Tournament play will begin Tuesday, followed by games on Wednesday and Friday, with championship games to take place Saturday.
Once 64 sectional champions have been crowned, they will travel to one of 16 regional locations based on class on Saturday, March 12. 4A champions will head to either Michigan City, Logansport, Southport and Seymour, while 3A schools will head to South Bend Washington, New Castle, Greencastle and Washington. 2A squads will converge on North Judson-San Pierre, Lapel, Greenfield-Central or Southridge, with1A teams heading to Triton, Frankfort, Martinsville and Loogootee.
After regional play has concluded, the 16 remaining teams will head to one of four sites regardless of class. This year’s semi-state sites include Lafayette Jefferson, Elkhart, Washington and Seymour.
The remaining eight teams will lock their sights on the home of the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever, Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, on Saturday, March 26.

4A Sectional 15 at Seymour — Game 1 – Jeffersonville vs. Bedford North Lawrence; Game 2 – Floyd Central vs. Jennings County; Game 3 – Seymour vs. Game 1 winner; Game 4 – New Albany vs. Game 2 winner; Championship – Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner.
3A Sectional 30 at Salem — Game 1 – North Harrison vs. Charlestown; Game 2 – Salem vs. Silver Creek; Game 3 – Madison Consolidated vs. Scottsburg; Game 4 – Corydon Central vs. Game 1 winner; Game 5 – Game 2 winner vs. Game 3 winner; Championship – Game 4 winner vs. Game 5 winner.
2A Sectional 46 at Tell City — Game 1 – Paoli vs. Crawford County; Game 2 – Eastern (Pekin) vs. Perry Central; Game 3 – Tell City vs. Game 1 winner; Championship – Game 2 winner vs. Game 3 winner.
1A Sectional 61 at Borden — Game 1 – Rock Creek Community Academy vs. New Washington; Game 2 – Christian Academy of Indiana vs. Lanesville; Game 3 – Borden vs. Game 1 winner; Game 4 – South Central vs. Game 2 winner; Championship – Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner.
