David McBeth, 88, Corydon, Ind., passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at his home in Corydon.

He was an engineer with the old Public Service that then became Duke Energy in Aurora, Ill. He was active in living history re-enactments of the War of 1812, was an avid history buff, loved reading and was on the board of the Battlefield of Corydon.

He was preceded in death his parents; his wife, Frances McBeth; a son, Doug McBeth; a daughter, Mary Lou Frank; and three deceased great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Walter Frank (Ge Li) of Landenburg, Pa.; daughters, Debbie Wirth (Gregg) of New Albany, Ind., and Susie Parks (Mark) of Corydon; brother, Richard McBeth (Joann) of Sugar Grove, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

There will be a memorial service April 9, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Visitation hours will be from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m.
