G. Dale Thompson

George Dale Thompson, age 66, New Salisbury, Ind., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Ind.

Dale was born in Orlando, Fla., on July 21, 1955, to Cecil and Evelyn Romans Thompson.

He worked for and retired from Wayne Supply in Louisville, Ky. Dale married Judy Sears on May 19, 1984. He was a member of the 700 Club. Dale loved animals and the outdoors. He also enjoyed pottery making, going out to dinner and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Dale is survived by his wife; two children, Matthew Thompson and Ethan Thompson; two brothers, Anthony Thompson and Tim Thompson; one sister, Pam Huber; one aunt, Helen Wesmer; one uncle, George Doorman; one niece, Charlotte Wingler; and two nephews, Chris Thompson and Joe Thompson.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, Ind.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. until time of service at Love Funeral Home.

Cremation was chosen, and interment will be at Palmyra Cemetery at a later date.
