• The person who thinks Amazon is a blessing for Harrison County residents must not live in the area.
• Fentanyl is the No. 1 killer of Americans age 18 to 45. Current information reveals China produces the majority of fentanyl of which is shipped to Mexico and then processed into powder and pills for shipment to American. Ask why Joe Biden is leaving the Southern border open.
• For the person who called and claimed Sandy Gettelfinger’s letter to the editor cherry picked his bills, I would remind you there could be no cherry picking if their are no cherries to pick.
• Congratulations to our local school bus driver here. Annette Album has been driving for the SHCSC for 35 years … I just wanted to say thank you so, so much for 35 years. Thanks for all your hard work.
• For three years now, the Town of Marengo has had a clean-up ordinance, but this doesn’t seem to do any good in the old town of Marengo. The old store’s falling down, two houses right beside of it are falling down and there is a junkyard all around it. …
• I saw in The Corydon Democrat that the Main Street Corydon group is going to be working with the Harrison County Parks Dept. to improve downtown Corydon. Maybe somebody needs to take a look at the Harrison County parks, especially at Buffalo Trace and some of Hayswood. Some of the Harrison County playground equipment is in fairly good shape, but some of the other parks the children’s playground equipment is basically falling down. …
• It is so sad to hear a supposedly intelligent person be quoted on TV saying she would be vaccinated for COVID over her dead body. Unfortunately, she may just get her wish. I think people who refuse to get vaccinated are the equivalent of the draft dodgers of the past generation. …
