John (Jack) Froning
John (Jack) Bruce Froning, 85, of New Salisbury, Ind., passed away on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022.
Jack was a long-time member of Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church and the Lions Club in New Salisbury. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marines.
He was born on Aug. 13, 1936, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Arthur Froning and Juanita Slorp Froning.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Froning; daughter, Pamela Froning Miskimen; and great-grandson, Michael.
Jack is survived by his children, Kelly Viton (Raff), Jenny McConnaughay, Maribeth Richardson (Brad), Bryn Hedrick (Wade), Bethany Burnette (David) and Adam Bacon (Kim); brother, David Edward Froning; grandchildren, Jacob Hedrick, Kayla Hedrick, Zachary Bacon, Ashley Bacon, Jonathan Bacon, Michael Burnette, Alyson Granillo (Chas), Paige Burnette, Tiffany Greer (Brandon), William Miskimen (Andrea), Danielle Miskimen, Sofia Swanson, Dylan Swanson, Caily Richardson, Hayden Richardson, Rosie Viton and Raff Viton; and great-grandchildren, Gideon, Ophelia, Lucy and Aria.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
His funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home, and cremation will follow according to his wishes.
