Jacob M. Smith

Jacob Michael Smith, 35, passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at his home in Elizabeth, Ind.

He was born April 2, 1986, in Louisville, Ky., the son of William C. and Marcia Smith.

He was a musician, loved the Kentucky Wildcats and was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his brother, William Darrell Smith, and grandparents, Norma Jean and William A. Smith and Kermit and Nancy Peed.

He is survived by his parents of Elizabeth; a son, Connor Michael Smith of Elizabeth; sister, Rachael E. Smith (Alex Howard) of New Albany, Ind.; his aunt, Karen Firster (Edward), and uncle, David M. Smith (Natalie), all of Elizabeth; and his most faithful companion, Axl.

Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Ind. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.

Visitation will be from 12 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at Gehlbach & Royse in Corydon.
