Richard E. Dodge Sr.

Richard Edward Dodge Sr., age 69, Corydon, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021.

Richard was born March 11, 1952, to the late Major Nelson Dodge and Jean Carpenter.

He was a retired technician from Pro Lift, Louisville, and was of the United Methodist faith.

Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Nichole Cummings, and a sister, Debbie Underwood, and her husband, Spike.

Surviving are his wife, Paula L. Spears Dodge; stepmother, Rose Dodge of Georgetown, Ind.; sons, Richard E. Dodge Jr. (Mindy) of Elizabeth, Ind., and Chad Cummings (Gretchen) of Ramona, Calif.; daughters, Tonda Britt (Tracy) of Lake Wells, Fla., and April Oliver (Casey) of Elizabethtown, Ky.; brothers, Major Dodge Jr. (Susan) Marengo, Ind., and Allen Dodge (Venusia) of Seattle, Wash.; step-sisters, Rose Hardin (Tracy) of Sellersburg, Ind., and Debbie K. Wheat of Georgetown; and grandchildren, Shawn, Travis, Tori and Taylee Britt, Kenna Cummings, Caden and Tanner Dodge and Everett Oliver.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Highway 64 NW, Ramsey, Ind., with burial in Woods Chapel Cemetery, Ramsey.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
