Marking the site

Bill Brockman, Indiana Historical Bureauâs volunteer coordinator for Harrison County, looks at the recently placed historic marker at the First State Office Building. Shireman Construction installed the new marker last week along Mulberry Street in Corydon. It replaced the original marker that stood along Walnut Street that was damaged in a storm. The marker was relocated to provide for better visibility for visitors to the historic building, which is available for rental to the general public. The Historical Society of Harrison County sponsored the grant received from the Harrison County Community Foundation that also provided for the painting of four other historic markers in the Corydon area.
