He loved aviation with a passion and introduced many to their first airplane ride. He worked with the Air Explorer Scouts by taking them up in his Cessna 172, two of which later became commercial pilots. On a trip to Colorado, the pilot recognized him and introduced him to the crew as the man who gave him his first airplane ride.

He was a kind, gentle man with a loving heart and will be missed by all who loved him.

Direct cremation has been chosen.
