Maxine Louise Anderson, 94, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd.

She was born in Georgetown, Ind., to the late Emar Earl and Lois Harbeson and was a homemaker for most of her life. Maxine had many hobbies, which included knitting and crocheting, bowling in leagues, listening to Southern gospel music and was an avid crossword puzzler. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Hobart Beach Post No. 1693 and loved her church family at New Beginnings Community Church, but especially loved being a mother and grandmother.

Maxine is survived by her children, Dale Anderson (Diane) and Paula Weir; grandchildren, Aaryn Easton, Rebecca Anderson and Scott Terry; and great-granddaughter, Madison Beckort.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Paul T. Anderson; brothers, Earl and Charles Harbeson; sister, Margaret Shewmaker; and grandson, Richard Terry.

Visitation will be held at the Market Street location of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes on Sunday, Dec. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. She will be buried next to her husband at Mount Tabor Cemetery.
