Marietta Perkins Branham, 80, of Palmyra, Ind., passed away on Monday, Nov. 22, 2021.
Marietta was a member of Grace Assembly of God and also Hardinsburg Fellowship Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, being outside and tending to her flower gardens. Of all her pastimes, her favorite was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was born on Feb. 9, 1941, in New Albany, Ind., to the late James and Elvie Etta Bezy Perkins.
Marietta is survived by her loving children, Rusty Stafford (Kathy), Vickie Brown, Ann LaRue (Steve), James Branham (Wyndie), Tracie Strong (Abner) and Anita Richards (Tim); siblings, Linda Brown, Jerry Perkins (Susie), Barbara Johnson (Eddie), Warren Perkins (Glenda) and Wayne Perkins (Becky); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane).
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Tunnel Hill Cemetery in Edwardsville, Ind.
