Carl E. Farmer
Carl E. Farmer, 75, of Corydon, Ind., died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Ind.
He was born Oct. 27, 1946, in Princeton, Ind., to the late Russell and Joyce Sinkhorn Farmer.
He was a retired engineer with Norfolk Southern Railway, worked as a health ambassador at the Corydon Walmart, was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotives, the American Legion and the VFW and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joe Bill Farmer; his twin siblings, Jack and Jill Farmer; and his sister-in-law, Janet Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda R. Williams Farmer; his children, Brian Farmer of Dale, Ind., and Brian and Carla Ripperdan of Boonville, Ind.; his grandchildren, Dustin, Amber, Megan, Ashlie and Jacob; his great-grandchildren, Chase, Landon and Madison; his siblings, Gary Farmer (Shara), Ann Wilkison (Danny), Kathy Wilson (Steve), Wayne Williams (Doris), Dave Williams (Teresa), Jack Williams (Jennifer), Rick Williams (Tina), Donna Skelton (Marty) and Jim Martin; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. The Rev. Mike McCarty will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
