Rose Carolyn Bowman, 86, Corydon, Ind., passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon.

She was born July 13, 1935, in Holy Cross, Ky., the daughter of Nathan Hubert and Mary Clara Nalley Donahue.

Rose was a homemaker. She loved bingo, was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and a loving mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charles Bowman; and siblings, Thomas Gerald Donahue, Nathan Hubert Donahue, Patrick Earl Donahue, James Sidney Donahue, Mary Huberta Cecil, Francis William Donahue and Joseph Daniel Donahue.

She is survived by her children, Debra Mills (Billy) of Ramsey, Ind., Nancy Hollely of Ramsey, Donald Bowman (Marcia) of Lanesville, Ind., Melissa Bailey (Mike) of Elizabeth, Ind., Ben Bowman of New Albany, Ind., and Tom Bowman (Jacqui) of Suffolk, Va.; daughter-in-law, Lynette Bowman of Chula Vista, Calif.; grandchildren, William Holley (Meiru), Chris Holley, Jessica Lieber (Patrick), Josh Bowman (Brooke), Jenna Whitfield (Brandon), Samantha Bowman (Tara), Wesley Bowman and Erin Westenbarger; great-grandchildren, Lorelei Rose Lieber, Elijah Whitfield, Rayleigh Lieber and Isabella Holley; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.

There will be a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening also at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial gifts be made to either St. Jude Research Hospital or to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
