Nelson T. Reasor, 87, Corydon, Ind., died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at Guerin Woods in Georgetown, Ind.

He was born Nov. 23, 1933, in Corydon, to Louis Albert and Hazel Alice Medlock Reasor.

Nelson began his automotive career at a young age, working at Reasor Oil Co. in Corydon. He then went to work for Kitterman’s Motor Co. in Corydon, Gilstrap Pontiac/Cadillac in Louisville, Ky., until their closure where he then went to work for Liddie Pontiac-Cadillac for over 35 years at the Clarksville, Ind., and Salem, Ind., locations. In the early 1970s, he worked for Mathers-Eckart Ford in Corydon. Upon his retirement, he opened Harrison Brokerage, where he bought and sold wrecked cars. Nelson was a charter member and founder of Hoosier Knobs Car Club and served as its president for two terms. He led many funeral processions to various cemeteries within Harrison County.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Zook Reasor of Corydon; daughter, Vicki Lamb (Brad) of New Salisbury, Ind.; son, Robert C. Reasor of Jeffersonville, Ind.; three stepdaughters, Jennifer Mader (Roger) of Corydon, Sharon Rosenbarger (Mike) of Corydon and Amy Nicholson (Jim) of Holenall, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Corydon.
