Join the Harrison County Native Habitat Alliance for a morning of clearing invasive shrubs from the Indian Creek Trail at Hayswood Nature Reserve on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Learn plant identification, how to support pollinators and how to help restore native habitat.

All ages are welcome.

Volunteers are to bring their own gloves, water, snacks and tools (pruning clippers, hand-saws, etc.) and wear appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes or boots. Long sleeves, hat and bug spray are recommended. Also, bring a face mask and don’t forget to social distance.

Meet near the Indian Creek Trailhead (the lower parking lot at Hayswood).

The Harrison County Native Habitat Alliance is a volunteer group organized to conserve the habitats of Harrison County by educating the community on the impacts of invasive species. The HCNHA works in partnership with the Indiana Invasives Initiative, Southern Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management and The Nature Conservancy.
