The Indiana High School Athletic Association released its sectional pairings for boys’ tennis Monday evening as part of its 55th annual state tournament pairings show presented by Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.

Sectional action is set to begin today (Wednesday) at 64 sites throughout the state, with championship rounds set for Saturday. The 64 sectional champions will head to one of 16 regional sites next week, Oct. 5 and 6, with the 16 victors heading to one of four semi-state sites on Saturday, Oct. 9. This year, the four semi-states will take place at Center Grove, Jasper, Homestead and Culver Academies.

The top two teams from each semi-state will compete in quarterfinal matches at either Carmel or Center Grove on Friday, Oct. 15. The final four teams will meet a day later, Oct. 16, at North Central High School in Indianapolis for the semifinals at a 10 a.m. start time. The two finalists will compete shortly afterward for the state title.

Match times for sectional matches were not made available by press time yesterday (Tuesday).

Here are the pairings involving local teams:

Sectional 29 at Floyd Central — Match 1, Eastern (Pekin) vs. Floyd Central; match 2, North Harrison vs. Salem; championship, Match 1 Winner vs. Match 2 Winner.

Sectional 31 at New Albany — Match 1, Lanesville vs. Corydon Central; match 2, Christian Academy of Indiana vs. New Albany; match 3, South Central vs. Match 1 Winner; match 4, Match 2 Winner vs. Match 3 Winner.
