Alan Dever, 57, Elizabeth, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at his home.
Born Sept. 17, 1964, in Clarksville, he was the son of Berny Richard Dever and Gloria Jean (Jeannie) Stith Dever.
He worked as a self-employed carpenter and was a member of God’s Church in Corydon, Freedom Christian Church in Elizabeth and First Baptist Church of Elizabeth, where he was involved in Mercy Street ministries.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Berny and Anna May Dever and John and Mattie Stith.
Survivors besides his parents include three children, Kasey Dever, Kolton Dever and Kayla Money; a sister, Robin Rhodes; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Elizabeth.
There will be a Celebration of Life service Saturday, Sept. 25, at 4 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon is handling the arrangements.
