Scott to audition on ‘The Voice’
Corydon resident Rob Scott’s daughter, Lana Scott, will appear as a contestant on Season 21 of NBC’s “The Voice,” which premieres Monday at 8 p.m.
Lana, 28, grew up in Virginia Beach, Va. — where her mother, Tammy Kistler, still resides — and now lives in Los Angeles, where Rob says she is “chasing her dreams of being a musician.”
Lana attended college at both Savannah College of Art and Design and the University of California, Berkeley, before she began a stint of working with a showband as a vocalist for Carnival Cruise Line, according to her father.
While Rob and his wife, Melanie, are unsure of what episode Lana will appear on in the first round of the singing competition show that has celebrities Blake Shelton, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend featured as the coaches for this season, they are excited to watch her do what she loves and live her dream.
“I’m a member of the Old Capitol Saddle Club, and Lana has come out and sang the national anthem a couple of times before our events, and it is just amazing to watch her perform,” Rob said. “I can’t wait to see where this will take her.”
Those interested in keeping up with Lana outside of the show can follow her on Instagram @ameasureoflana and will be able to watch her audition once the show begins.
