Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana recently celebrated the grand opening of its newest retail store in Corydon on Aug. 31.

Located at 190 Pacer Drive NW, the store replaced the previous location that was at 2400 Landmark Ave.

Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Goodwill accepts donations during store hours through a contactless process located on the side of the building.

Misty Watson, the store manager, said her team was very excited to move into the upgraded facility, and with that comes the ability to add more employees as well as expand their offerings and storage space.

“We have gone from about 30 employees to right around 50, which has been a great addition for our community,” Watson said. “We are able to give jobs to a lot of people who wouldn’t be able to find them elsewhere, like those with criminal histories, disabilities or limited education. It’s overall better for the community when we are able to give more jobs to people.”

Watson also noted that the new facility has more than tripled its backroom storage area, which allows them to sort through more donations and store more to be placed in the retail store in the future.
