Descendants of the Jacob and Catherine Richert clan met Aug. 1 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville for a pot-luck meal and fellowship. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 reunion did not take place, but supplements were sold at the gazebo outside St. Peter’s.

Attendance prizes and special awards were distributed. The longest distance award went to Kay and Dave Ratliff of North Carolina. Oldest man present went to Merlin (Dick) Lillpop; oldest woman went to Doris Bliss; youngest person was Hudson Blank; and longest married went to Jim and Phyllis Wolfe. Door prizes were given to Sue Bline, Hailee Blank, Eric Eisert, Sheila Koshewa and Jim Plant.

The list of those who had passed away in the last two years was read and they were honored.

Those attending were Cathy Meyer, Liz Martin, Serena Phillips, Jim Martin, Kay and Dave Ratliff, Jim Plant, Bob and Lois Raisor, Jim Blank, Merlin (Dick) Lillpop, Doris R. Bliss, Denisa Wolfe, Jalisa Wolfe, Jim and Phyllis Wolfe, Eric Eisert, Nathan, Hailee and Hudson Blank, Kirk and Noah Randolph, Sue Bline, Jacob Wolfe, Mike and Anita Kost, Jim and Sheila Koshewa and John Richert Boyd.

The next Richert reunion is planned for Sunday, Aug. 7, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
