The South Central Class of 1961 is planning on a 60th reunion celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the South Harrison Community Center in Elizabeth. This is where a lot of our classmates attended school until we finished our high school years at South Central Junior-Senior High School. Please bring any memorabilia from those school years to share. Hopefully, we can find someone to take pictures. If you would like to share some memories, that would be welcomed. The meal will be catered by Bernice Sonner. Please sign up to attend by calling Ronnie Schoen at 812-969-2307 or me at 812-969-9444 by Sept. 1. Also, please pass on this information to anyone connected to our class.
Have you thought about moving your prayers from the kitchen table or your recliner or wherever your quiet place is to people all over the world who are displaced by fire, flood and drought? The world has plenty of suffering, and it seems to get closer each passing day. But, God will always be good.
Praying without ceasing is such a wonderful privilege and blessing that God has given us to stay connected to his soul and spirit. I am so grateful for the things God has given us to enjoy in his presence.
In this world today, it gives us no peace or hope but in Jesus Christ. You can walk in peace and hope because he is our hope and peace for all of our tomorrows. His is our treasure to behold in our hearts and spirits.
