Harrison County Arts will host the competitive exhibition Hoosier Visions at the Artisan Center. It will open Friday and continue through Oct. 23.

Entry into Hoosier Visions was open to all artists who are residents of Harrison and adjacent counties and inspired by their time and place in Southern Indiana. Fifteen artists were selected for the exhibition representing 22 works, including paintings, prints, ceramics, collage and photography.

The entries were juried by Rudee Ann Rodriguez and Noelle Gohmann.

Rodriguez retired after 37 years in service of public education, elementary through university levels, in visual arts. She also served on numerous grant application review panels for the Indiana Arts Commission and jury panels for the Indiana Artisan Development Project.

Gohmann has her degree in fine arts from Indiana University with focuses on painting and ceramics. In recent years, she has explored fiber arts, including quilt making, weaving, fiber collage and soft sculpture. Her work is in many public and private collections and has been represented by Galerie Hertz for many years.

The public is invited to an opening reception for Hoosier Visions on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Artisan Center, located at 121 E. Chestnut St., Corydon.
