• I wear a mask because, if the experts are correct, I could potentially prevent someone from getting sick and dying. If the experts are wrong, the most I’m out is the inconvenience of wearing a piece of fabric on my face. …

• I was just wondering what is the problem with Bridge 25 on Corydon-New Middletown Road. … The bridge isn’t that old.

• So, the county is starting chip and seal but there’s no concern for Corydon-New Middletown Road, Lake Road or Fairview with grass growing up out of out it? Where is the priorities? Where’s our tax money going? Who do we need to complain to to get this right? It’s getting out of control. Something needs to be done.

• I can’t believe Biden offering $100 for people to get vaccinated. … All they want to do is spend money so somebody else can pay for it, and usually the middle class is what’s paying for it.

• What on earth has happened to the Democratic party? They used to be for the working man and support the unions and just altogether different than they are today. They were for the working man, and I voted for them for years and years, but now it seems like they are doing anything contrary to God’s ordinances. They’re going against God’s commandments. … and I can no longer vote Democratic.

• If all lives matter, then maybe it’s time to get vaccinated.

• I find it utterly pathetic that people in the current Live Wire in this week’s edition bringing up illegal immigrants and using the words a million of them. There has not been one million illegal immigrants, and it’s not Joe Biden’s fault. And, frankly, if you don’t want to wear a mask, that’s fine, but just don’t blame me or anyone else who does when you’re in the ICU on a ventilator. Beware, it’s not anybody else’s fault. It’s your own responsibility to take care of yourself and protect the people around you that you love. …

• I was wondering if they’re ever going to pave Corydon Ridge Road Northeast from Ponderosa to the Georgetown-Lanesville Road. I was told a few years ago that they was going to pave that, but all they do is patch. Now since then, they’ve built the road that goes … from the interchange over to Georgetown. They’re also getting ready to build another road over on Highway 11 … I just can’t understand why we’re building these new roads when we can’t take care of the ones we got.

• Something needs to be done about these two black dogs running loose up here at the intersection of Hancock Chapel and North Road. They lay in the middle of the intersection. You can’t hardly get through. You blow your horn and still they won’t move. Then you see them walking in the middle of the road and they’re … getting out in the fields and digging holes in them. Looks like animal control or the owner could do something about these dogs. …

• I was calling just wondering how it is possible for a bus driver to test positive for COVID yet a spouse which lives with him can still drive the bus and it’s OK. …

• Yeah, there ain’t no wonder there’s so many wrecks out on (S.R.) 135. Some (driver) just passed me and my daughter coming off the Hayswood bridge. Passed about four or five vehicles and (darn) near caused us to have a wreck cutting between us and another car, and there was a car coming right at them. People like that shouldn’t be allowed to drive.

• I can’t believe that the state and the county don’t mow all their rights-of-ways and let the ragged weeds and Johnson grass and stuff grow.

• I’ve seen it and heard it for over a year now, day after day, that Black lives matters. Well, if it matters that much to black people, why are they killing each other off? … Just look at the news and you’ll see it.
