The Corydon Central boys’ soccer team has played in some summer “friendly” games, according to coach Justin Bottorff.

Bottorff said he thought the preseason friendlies went well.

“We accomplished our developmental goals we had for the summer, and we are excited for what the future holds,” he said.

Results from those games are:

June 23 — Won in penalties at home over Salem 3-3 5-2

July 13 — Split two games at the Salem Jamboree with a 2-1 win over Switzerland County and a 0-1 loss against Salem

July 15 — Won both games (Silver Creek and North Harrison) 2-1 played in the North Harrison Jamboree

For the summer games combined, Hayden Ettner scored nine goals and Nolan Ables and Cristian Perez scored one goal each. Bottorff said freshman keeper Bryce Gerlach made several important saves during the summer games.
