Rebecca (Becky) Branham, 69, Greenville, Ind., passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by family.
She was born in New Albany, Ind., on Jan. 17, 1952, the daughter of Morris and Claire Kaegi White.
She was retired from Greenville Elementary School. Becky was a devoted member of Indian Creek Baptist Church in Georgetown, Ind., and served on the Lanesville Heritage Committee. She was an avid Floyd Central Highlanders fan and loved all her grandchildren’s sports and events. Becky also loved to travel, was a mother figure to all and just loved life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jay Allen Branham; and her brother-in-law, Robert (Bob) Shrewsbury.
She is survived by her companion, Sonny Myers of Greenville; two sons, Jeff Branham (Jessica) and Scott Branham (Darci), both of Georgetown; brother, Dale (Chip) White (Suzan) of Lanesville, Ind.; sister, Sharon Adams (Robert) of Ramsey, Ind.; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Shrewsbury; four grandchildren, Emma, Jillian, Eli and Jayda; two nieces, LuAnn Turnage and Brook Adams; and a nephew, Tim Shrewsbury.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Indian Creek Baptist Church in Georgetown. Pastors Johnny Knuckles and David Dale will officiate.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville.
The family requests memorials be made to either Indian Creek Baptist Church in Georgetown, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
