State Historic Site to host Corydon Capital Day
Corydon Capitol State Historic Site will host Corydon Capital Day on Saturday, July 17. This free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Guests can experience demonstrations, enjoy live entertainment, try their hand at old-fashioned games and shop vendors and an outdoor food court.
At 2 p.m. at the First State Capitol Building, one can learn what it takes to create a constitution.
Corydon is where Indiana’s statehood began. The state historic site includes the original Capitol Building, Governor’s Headquarters and first State Office Building, where Indiana transformed from a territorial outpost to a functioning modern state. Attendees can explore Corydon’s beginnings where Hoosier statesmen carefully built the foundations for the state of today.
