The Harrison County Public Library offers a variety of programs intended to help children learn about themselves and the world around them. Registration is required for all programs; to register, call the appropriate branch. Library Little Ones Outside on the Square — Fridays, July 2, 16, 23 and 30, at 10:30 a.m.; join Ms. Ann and Ms. Savannah on the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site lawn for storytime with movement.

Pioneer Games on the Square — Wednesday, July 14, at 2 p.m.; join the library and Denver Bays of the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site for a time of learning and play.

Nature Club at Hayswood Nature Reserve — Friday, July 16, at 2 p.m.; a nature scavenger hunt adventure with Miss Eden.

Dance Party on the Square — Friday, July 23, at 2 p.m.; for all ages and families on the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site lawn.

Palmyra Outdoor Storytime — Tuesday, July 6, 2:30 p.m. for Three Little Pigs and Tuesday, July 20, at 2:3 p.m. for What’s Hatching? with Ms. Nikki and Ms. Shawnda.

Palmyra Outdoor Mother Goose — Tuesdays, July 13 and 27, at 2:30 p.m.; songs, rhymes and puppets with Ms. Nikki.

In case of inclement weather, a live Zoom program will replace Palmyra Storytime and Mother Goose.

The 2021 Tails and Tales Summer Reading Challenge for all ages and the Cultural Pass Program continues through July 31. Create an account at https://harrisonco.beanstack.org or download the newest Beanstack app from the app store. Those who have participated in a HCPL reading challenge within the last two years and already have a Beanstack account just need to update their information.

Stop by a local branch to pick up summer reading information and Cultural Pass. The Cultural Pass is available to all Harrison County youth up to age 21.
