James William Barber, 76, Elizabeth, died Sunday, June 20, 2021, at his home.

Born Jan. 13, 1945, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Edward and Louise King Barber.

He was retired from American Standard, formerly drove a BP gas tanker, was a member of Faith Assembly Church in Clarksville and was an Army veteran.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye Basham and Wanda Morgan.

Survivors include his wife, the former Ramona Jackson; a brother, Ronald Barber of Georgetown; and two sisters, Wendy Heistand and Janice Burch, both of Louisville.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and Wednesday, June 23, after 9 a.m. at Faith Assembly Church in Clarksville.

The funeral will be Wednesday, June 23, at 10 a.m. at the church with burial in Rogers Campground Cemetery near Elizabeth. Pastors James Allen and Kevin Crase will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Paul Elliss, Ron Shaw, Kyle Jackson, Evan Jackson, Timothy Shaw and Charles Bland.
