Erik Hayden Pendleton, 57, of Louisville, Ky., entered eternal life on Monday, June 21, 2021.

Erik was born in Corydon, Ind., to James Gordon and Christine Pendleton.

He graduated from Corydon Central High School in 1982 and Indiana University Kelly School of Business and Finance in 1986. He earned a master’s degree in finance from Indiana University Southeast. Erik had a career in finance holding vice president positions with First National Bank of Pennsylvania, National City Bank and PNC. He started his career as a National Bank examiner. He was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Gordon Pendleton.

Carrying on Erik’s legacy are his wife of 13 years, Aileen Do; children, Ava Pendleton (Duncan Godfrey), Adam Pendleton, Nadia Pendleton (Michael Kornblatt) and Audrey Pendleton; granddaughter on the way, Magnolia Pendleton; mother, Christine Neff Pendleton; sisters, Alisa Burch (Kevin) and Natalie Crosier (Dave); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass for Erik will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, Louisville, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 25, at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville.
